A few months ago I was up at the Doctor’s dog park in Apopka for the Canine cancer awareness pet event. It was the very first time I had been there and frankly I was amazed at how big and beautiful this dog park is!
I decided to take a lot of pictures of this park and made a nice photo gallery below so you can really see what this park is all about. I made sure to take pictures of all the details like water fountains, time out areas, benches and more.
Now Doctor’s dog park in Apopka is not just one big area but a total of three different fenced in areas for dogs. One is for small dogs 30 pounds and under.
Another area is for all dogs, so I guess that is where you go if you have a large dog plus those who don’t mind having their small dog around larger dogs.
The other section I’m not sure about. It may be for large dogs but there is no sign saying so. I saw a mix of dogs in there the day I was there. If you know the answer to this please comment on here!
As you can see in the pictures Doctor’s dog park has some very nice shady trees in each section, with both sandy and grassy areas. You can find water fountains that are for both people and dogs with a low fountain area for the dogs.
You can find doggy waste bags at several spots to pick up after your dog, which is required and just plan common good manners. The entrances have double gates to help keep the dogs in.
You can also find doggy time out areas in case your dog gets too excited or you need to put them in a safe spot in case something happens. I took pictures of the rules posted on the fence also.
Total size of all the Doctor’s dog park area is about 5 acres, which is pretty big. There is plenty of room to let your dog run around and have fun. For a map and more info see my Doctor’s dog park review in the dog park page. Enjoy the pictures!
