Central Florida Great Dane Rescue

Central Florida Great Dane Rescue is a nonprofit organization that has the mission to place Great Danes into loving homes. The pets rescued by the volunteers who work here reside in foster homes throughout the state. In the past seven years, the organization has rescued over 500 Danes.

Helping animals is the main goal of those who work at Central Florida Great Dane Rescue. The volunteers help with rescue events, spend time with the pets and visit those who adopted a Dane from the rescue organization.

Many of them provide temporary foster homes to these pets as part of the program. They take in unwanted animals and ensure they find a loving family.

Every 2nd Saturday of each month you can see some of their Great Danes at the Titusville Petco and every 3rd Saturday of each month at the Orange City Petco.

All of the Danes at Central Florida Great Dane Rescue are spayed or neutered, vet-checked and de-wormed prior to being placed. The organization’s website offers valuable information on this breed, as well as photos of the Great Danes available for adoption. You can also read more about breeders and puppy mills.

If you want to find out more about this breed and stay up-to-date with the latest rescue events, check out the Central Florida Great Dane Rescue website. In case you want to adopt a Dane, you should know that these dogs are a very people oriented breed. Despite their large size, they are a good option for families.

The reason why many Danes end up on the street is that their owners were not prepared for the demands of such a large dog. Therefore, it is essential that you search for information before adopting a pet.

Be sure to visit the Central Florida Great Dane Rescue website, which is an excellent resource for finding information about the Great Dane. You can browse the many Great Danes up for adoption there and ask questions.

Can you please tell me if there is anyone that can help capture a male dane someone dumped about 2 weeks ago in my neighbor hood and it starving to death we have been unable to catch him he is very afraid and starting to growl at the children. Animal services came out twice but if they don’t see him they leave people are ready to shoot him. We live in a small community and he just travels the 3 blocks day and night. None of us cherishes the idea of him starving ti death or getting shot but we are unable to catchhim on our own

    Hi Rose,

I’m very sorry to hear about that. Try contacting the great Dane rescue place, I’m not part of them. You can contact them in their site here:

    Good luck.
