Doctor’s dog park in Apopka, Fl.
It’s time for another dog park review! This one is Doctor’s dog park in Apopka, Florida. Many seem to like this dog park and have good things to say about it. Doctor’s off leash dog park is fenced in so you can let your dogs run free.
In fact it has both a small dog and large dog section, with another one that, well, I’m not sure about. Some say it’s for medium sized dogs, but that does not make much sense.
Others say the third section is to rotate and give the grass time to grow back. If anyone knows more about the purpose of this third fenced in section please let me know!
Many like a dog park that has both a small dog and large dog section. That way small dogs are not overwhelmed with over friendly large dogs. Doctor’s dog park also has a doggy time out area too.
Like most off leash dog parks, this one has water fountains for both people and dogs and clean up stations to give your doggy a good wash up if you want to do that.
Doctor’s dog park is big at 750′ by 300′, or about 5 acres in size. That’s plenty of space to let your dog run and play. There are large shade trees also which is a big plus.
Besides all the above you can find bags to clean up after your dog and benches to sit on. It’s in a relatively quiet area so it’s relaxing. However you do have to park a bit away from the park, about a block.
Now for the rules and regulations of Doctor’s dog park. Open times are 8:00 AM to dusk 7 days a week. It’s free to use and no attendant is on duty, so you use it at your own risk.
No food or alcohol is permitted inside the dog park, also no childrens toys or bikes. Owners must clean up after their dogs and dogs must be legally licensed and vaccinated.
All in all Doctor’s dog park in Apopka is a great off leash dog park that many seem happy with. Check it out yourself and let me know what you think of Doctor’s dog park!
