There’s a lot of cool pet events going on this fall, and one of them is PetOberfest in Deland, sponsored by Spring Oaks Animal Care Center.
Spring Oaks Animal Care Center, located at 152 McGregor Road in Deland, Florida, provides all kinds of services for your furry friends. You can board your dog or cat overnight or for the day in real luxury.
If your pooch or kitty needs grooming, they can take care of that, too, at their pet spa. Get your furkid a trim, a bath, a massage, a nail trim, or a whole new style.
Even more importantly, the veterinary staff at Spring Oaks can take care of your pet’s health, including immunizations, internal and external parasites, skin problems, neurological problems, illnesses, and injuries.
On top of all these great services, Spring Oaks Animal Center periodically holds community events for the public, where everyone is invited. One of these is coming up in October, and you won’t want to miss it! Starting at 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., on October 22, 2011, the center will be holding PetOberfest.
For just two bucks, you can enjoy a whole day of entertainment and fun. The event is very kid-friendly and pet-friendly, so bring the kids – the two-legged and four-legged ones. Dress up your pet in its Halloween costume and enter the costume contest. Have a portrait made of your pet, and treat it to a free health exam.
There will be lots of pet vendors there, plus pet rescue organizations with lots of great animals ready for a loving home. Check out the doggie fun zone with your dog too!
For the human kids, there’ll be a bouncy house, face painting, and a zoo where kids can have close encounters with critters. The whole family can also enjoy food, drinks, and live entertainment.
This year, Tippus will be providing the music for the event. In addition, you’ll have the chance to win some great vacation prizes via the raffles.
Not only is this event great fun, it also helps support a good cause. All admission donations will go to HELP, Inc. and the Dog and Cat Cancer Fund.
