It’s almost time for the 5th Annual Doggie Derby at Baldwin Park 2012! This fun filled event is a blast. I went to last years race and had a lot of fun. This year it will be held on Saturday, April 28th 2012 from 9 AM to 2 PM.

So just what the heck is the doggie derby? It’s a fun easy dog race of 25 yards long between two dogs per race. The dogs are divided into four weight divisions: featherweight, lightweight, middleweight, and heavyweight.

They keep racing until one is declared the winner in each division. But there is much more than just the race. The event helps a very worthy cause, and this year it is Stock the Pantry program.
