New SPCA pet event for September

Pet events

Late summer and fall is when the pet events start to pick back up around Orlando. One new one that will be going on Sept. 28th is simply called Unleashed.Uncorked.Unframed. This pet event will benefit the SPCA of central Florida.

This upscale event will be held at Quantum Leap Winery, 1312 Wilfred Drive, Orlando, FL 32803 Sept. 28th. Cocktail attire is appropriate at this event, which means I can’t go!

This is not an event to bring your pet, it’s for humans only please. It will be an evening of fine wines, gourmet food, a cool auction and private art showing.

You can buy tickets to attend, be a sponsor or simply donate to SPCA. There is a pretty good long list of cool things in the auction, from a vacation package, golf, pet products and lots more.

You can donate an auction item if you want, become a sponsor or just give what you can for a great cause. So check out the website of Unleashed.Uncorked.Unframed. and have fun while helping central Florida’s pets! 🙂

New local pet event, Athletes and Animals July 28th!

Athletes and Animals pet event

There’s not many pet events going on during the summer, due to the heat. We don’t want to make our pets walk around a hot field or dress up on a hot Florida day.

But there are a few that take place inside, and they don’t really require you to bring your pet. One of these is called the Athletes and Animals event, brought to you by a local Stanley Steamer company.

Mark & Connie Gellner, Owners of Stanley Steemer of Central Florida, are active in the local community and they decided to start a fund raising event for two unlikely groups; Special Olympics Florida and The SPCA of Central Florida.

They decided to hold a bowling event that would benefit these two groups last year and it was a great success. So this year they hope the Athletes and Animals event will be even better.

This year it will be held on July 28th. All donations are greatly appreciated and you can come out and have fun without having to be on a team. Go to their website below for lots more information. Thanks! 🙂

Fall and winter pet events page updated!

Central Florida pet events

Once again I was a few days late, but I have updated the pet events page to reflect all the pet events going on in the central Florida area for the rest of the year.

Once fall is here and it cools off there is a big surge in pet events going on. You can find many pet Halloween costume contest going on, especially the big one at Winter Park which is held each year.

Right at the moment I have no Halloween events in my page because nobody has announced any yet. But I’m sure there will be some soon. Once I know when the Winter Park Halloween pet costume contest will be I will post it.

Pet events for August,,, not much

August pet events

If you happen to check out the pet events page for August, you’ll notice there is not much there. In fact at the time I write this there is only one event for the month.

That’s because there really is not much of anything going on during the hot month of August. It’s just too hot to take your pet out to any events, put costumes on them or anything else.

The pet events will pick up again in the fall, when some of the most popular events take place. I just did not want you to think I forgot to update the events page for August. I did not, there just are none!

Orlando pet events for May to August now up!

Orlando area pet events

I wanted to let you all know that the Orlando pet events page has been updated to show the May to August 2012 pet events! I break it up into quarterly sections, otherwise it gets way too long.

I try to have the most complete Orlando area pet events page around. I don’t show all events as every pet place has a few special things they do each week or month.

But I try to include all big events, like the Doggy Derby, pet walks and stuff like that. May seems to have a nice amount of pet events going on, so make sure you check it out.

Guest writers wanted for pet articles, events, services!

Be a guest pet writer on Orlando Pet Services!

Spring is just about here, it’s getting hotter and summertime fun is starting to happen! I juggle a lot of different websites, in fact it’s now up to around 3 dozen of them I own and operate!

Because of that I wanted to offer anyone in the Orlando area a chance to become a guest writer here on Orlando Pet Services. In fact I’ll be happy to accept several. So just what would, or could you write about?

Just about anything that has to do with pets. If your a Vet you could start a pet healthcare section or series of articles on it. If you run a pet services store or site you could write about what you do.
